Alternative Health License

An Alternative Health License is so necessary for practitioners who do not have other licensing options or for practitioners who work outside their scope.  Lines easily blur across the many healing modalities, but there is an answer to this ever-challenging problem – its legal foundation is built on tenets written in the United States Constitution. Ecclesiastical licensing, also known as pastoral or ministerial licensing, gives spiritually minded practitioners the ability to offer holistic services in all U.S. states.

When you join GEMA, you become a member of a like-minded community who work together to provide natural options for helping clients reach optimal health.  GEMA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that offers holistic practitioners an Ecclesiastical holistic health license supported by the 1st and 14th U.S. Constitutional Amendments. GEMA practitioners, working within a given code of operations(scope), are licensed to offer natural health services, if provided in a responsible and legal manner, used in accordance to Constitutional rights and the laws of the state in which they practice.



GEMA membership includes health coaches too.  Holistic coach pricing is the same price as practitioner pricing.  Health Coaching is a growing industry that uses evidence-based skillful conversation, clinical interventions and strategies to actively and safely collaborate with clients to change behavior. Health coaches are certified or credentialed to safely guide clients who may have chronic conditions or those who are at moderate to high risk for chronic conditions

A Holistic Practitioner License provides a standard for which very specific rules and guidelines must be followed to ensure the qualifications, educational criteria, and experience of the practitioner have been fulfilled.  In addition, background checks and entry exams have been passed before a practitioner can hold a GEMA license and offer their services. Legal services for GEMA and its members are provided for by NCLL – National Center for Life & Liberty. NCLL serves to protect and defend the Bible-based values upon which our nation was founded. NCLL will endeavor to protect and defend these important foundational areas that support our freedoms.

Holding GEMA Ministerial Licensing from Guardian Ecclesiastical Medical Association (GEMA) is beneficial because it demonstrates that the professional is a member of an Association and has met certain educational and clinical requirements.
